Higher signal strength means radical improvements in indoor/in-car penetration. It is however interesting to note that the improved grade of service also drives traffic thanks to longer mean holding times for a call and call set up success rate. When comparing traffic in the serving cell and adjacent cells when using standard antennas versus the CellMax antenna, net traffic has increased as a consequence of the higher signal strength of the CellMax antenna. The size of this increase is determined by the environment and traffic pattern in general, but is generally considerable. |
